Backend Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design and build dispute management systems that transform payment data into actionable insights for merchants.
• Integrate the platform with global payment leaders such as Stripe, Adyen, and PayPal.
• Contribute to scalable financial infrastructure for invoicing, billing, and reconciliation.
• Develop the Representment product, including APIs and interfaces for submitting dispute evidence to payment schemes.
• Collaborate on launching new payment products in partnership with Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX.

Requirements

• Mastery of at least one backend language with a strong readiness to switch to Go.
• Proven experience shipping production-ready systems and designing high-load architectures.
• Strong proficiency in testing practices, including unit, integration, and e2e tests.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles.
• Must be based in or associated with Kyiv, Warsaw, or Lviv.

Nice to have

• Previous professional exposure to Golang.
• Experience with Kafka Streams, SQS, S3, and Redshift.
• Background in Fintech, specifically in payments, billing, or financial processing.
• Familiarity with AWS and modern CI/CD pipelines.
