What you will do

  • Perform manual system-level, functional, and acceptance testing for embedded systems software written in C and supporting C#/.NET desktop applications.
  • Define and implement testing strategies with R&D, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop verification test protocols and document results against functional and customer requirements.
  • Review requirements and design documentation for technical accuracy and testability.
  • Investigate field failures, establish repeatability, support root-cause analysis, and verify corrective releases.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software quality assurance experience, including 3–4 years testing desktop tools and/or embedded systems or hardware.
  • Experience with power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and firmware issues on circuits and hardware.
  • Strong understanding of QA principles, verification, validation, and documentation in medical devices or another regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, independent working, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix.
  • Firmware or software development experience.
  • Programming experience with Python, C/C++, .NET/C#, or MySQL.
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development and unit testing tools such as JUnit.
