What you will do

• Perform manual system-level, functional, and acceptance testing on embedded C firmware and C#/.NET desktop applications.
• Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to define and implement testing strategies.
• Develop verification test protocols and document results against functional and customer requirements per regulatory standards.
• Review requirements and design docs for testability and act as quality advocate in development.
• Analyze field failures for repeatability, work with devs on root causes, and verify fixes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years software QA experience, including 3-4 years testing desktop tools and/or embedded systems/hardware
• Experience with electronic test equipment (power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes) and troubleshooting electrical/firmware issues
• Strong understanding of QA principles, especially in medical device or regulated environments (e.g., Title 21 CFR part 11)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Effective written communication for presenting methods and observations

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix
• Firmware or software development experience
• Programming in Python, C/C++, .NET/C#, MySQL
• Understanding of Test-Driven Development and unit testing tools (e.g., JUnit)
