What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, scientists, and engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Architect and build efficient, reliable back-end systems for quantum software platform.
• Design tooling for calibration, protocol development, experimentation, and automation of quantum processor operations.
• Write clean code, conduct code reviews, and ensure maintainability.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug, and optimize performance.
• Mentor junior quantum software engineers.

Requirements

• BS or higher in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, math, physics, or chemistry.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong Python experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging with profilers.
• Experience in scientific computing, data analytics, quantum physics, or quantum computing.
• Competence with Git and software testing practices (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication skills.
