What you will do

• Create original science assessment items, tasks, and stimuli aligned to NGSS or state standards.
• Transfer and format existing science assessments into the Formative platform.
• Produce technology-enhanced items with accurate metadata and functionality.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews for bias, accuracy, and editorial standards.
• Validate content alignment and Depth of Knowledge for every item.
• Provide feedback on platform tools and item bank features.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the US
• At least one year experience writing and reviewing science assessment items commercially.
• Expertise in assessment design, including formative, common, and summative types.
• Deep knowledge of NGSS and state science frameworks with standards alignment skills.
• Mastery of Depth of Knowledge and rigor classification.
• Experience with technology-enhanced items and digital assessment platforms.
• Strong editorial skills for fairness, bias, and accessibility.
