SW Engineer, Financial Accounting (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Golang or Java using clean code practices.
• Build event-driven microservices architectures for financial movements and accounting entries.
• Ensure data accuracy, idempotency, and consistency in distributed financial systems.
• Collaborate with product, accounting, and engineering teams to implement financial requirements.
• Work with AWS services (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge) and Terraform for infrastructure.
• Implement tests, monitor system health, participate in code reviews, and support incident analysis.

Requirements

• Be based in Brazil.
• English proficiency at B1 level or above.
• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years relevant experience; 2+ years as Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in Java/Groovy or JVM languages, adaptable to Golang.
• Experience with Git, debugging distributed systems, Terraform, CI/CD tools (Argo, Jenkins, Codefresh).
• Knowledge of relational databases, non-relational stores, AWS best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial systems (accounting, settlement, reconciliation, ledgers).
• Financial data modeling (balances, transactions, postings).
• Code reviews, testing (unit, integration, E2E), API documentation (Swagger).
• Docker, Kubernetes; resolving distributed systems issues.
