What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance services using C, C++, and Java.
• Engineer performance-critical components across user space and kernel interfaces, focusing on memory, scheduling, I/O, and networking.
• Develop networking pipelines (UDP/TCP) and implement kernel-bypass or fast-path networking using DPDK, netmap, or XDP.
• Optimize systems for latency and determinism through CPU isolation, thread pinning, NUMA locality, and cache awareness.
• Profile and debug systems using tools such as perf, ftrace, eBPF, and flame graphs to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and infra teams to deliver robust production systems with clear SLOs.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in at least one of: C, C++, or Java.
• Excellent understanding of Linux kernel internals, including memory management, scheduler behavior, and VFS concepts.
• Deep practical experience in high-performance networking, low-latency engineering, or distributed systems (sequencer patterns).
• Strong debugging and profiling skills on Linux.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, synchronization primitives, and memory models.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial markets and trading infrastructures (market data, FIX, exchange connectivity).
• Familiarity with PTP for time synchronization in low-latency environments.
• Experience with RDMA or writing/maintaining Linux kernel modules.
• Knowledge of deterministic GC tuning and low-latency JVM practices.
• Expertise in benchmarking methodology and variance analysis.
