What you will do

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of mission-critical software across the full SDLC.
• Participate in system architecture and technical design decisions.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to deliver high-quality naval and ICT solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Support software releases and ongoing maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1).
• Ability to access ITAR-restricted information.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Fluency in at least one of the following: Java, Ada, C++, or C#.

Nice to have

• Experience with military systems or related defence technologies.
• Familiarity with Mavlink messaging protocol.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience with DDS, IBM DOORS, Docker, and Linux environments.
• Skills in test automation and human-machine interface (HMI) development.
