What you will do

• Design fire alarm and mass notification systems, including layouts, device placement, and battery calculations.
• Create and review fire alarm shop drawings and submittal packages produced by contractors.
• Perform site assessments and field surveys to evaluate existing installations.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure strict code compliance.
• Develop test plans and lead commissioning activities for system verification.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and assist with NICET training.

Requirements

• NICET Level III or IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems is required.
• 5-10 years of experience in fire alarm consulting, design, or inspection.
• Deep understanding of life safety codes including NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and IBC.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
• Must be based in the United States.
