Platform Engineer

What you will do

• Own the ingestion pipeline for data from cloud APIs (Garmin, Fitbit, Oura) and mobile SDKs (Apple Health, Health Connect).
• Build and scale the normalization engine transforming heterogeneous payloads into standardized models.
• Manage event delivery via webhooks, Postgres/MySQL, Supabase, S3, SQS, Kafka with retries and ordering.
• Develop the upstream supplier connector for suppliers to push data directly into hirify.global.
• Implement API versioning, observability, and provider health dashboards across the pipeline.
• Harden mobile SDK data paths handling on-device processing and OS constraints.

Requirements

• Systems thinker who anticipates data flows and failure modes.
• Experience operating platforms at billions of events scale, fixing production issues.
• Observability-first approach integrated into designs.
• Strong opinions on event guarantees, schema evolution, idempotency, API versioning from shipping experience.
• Fast executor: architecture to production in days.
• Accountable owner who responds to incidents and ensures uptime.
