Compliance Director (Fintech)

We are supporting a high-growth fintech business dedicated to financial inclusion with the appointment of a Compliance Director — a senior 2LOD advisory role sitting at the heart of the business.

This is not a back-office compliance role. You'll be embedded in product, engineering and customer journey design from day one, a genuine trusted advisor to the business, not just a risk function.

The role: → Senior 2LOD compliance advisory across regulatory, conduct and data privacy → Partnering with product and engineering to embed compliance by design → Horizon scanning, regulatory relationship management and framework development → Escalation lead for breaches, remediation and regulator notifications

What's needed: → 10+ years compliance experience in financial services or fintech → Strong data protection and privacy advisory background — DPO experience preferred → Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and leadership teams → Fintech or digital financial services experience highly advantageous
