What you will do
- Own and evolve the biosample procurement strategy, including executing current plans and designing future expansion.
- Lead biosample procurement and serve as the primary point of contact for vendor relationships, contracts, and pricing negotiations.
- Collaborate with ML scientists, engineers, and therapeutics teams to strategically source biosamples to achieve company goals.
- Operationalize efficient sample accessioning and manage sample metadata to support data generation and analysis at scale.
- Streamline and scale processes to increase biosample procurement, tracking, and assay throughput.
- Design and implement biosample operations processes for expected future clinical trials.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in biology or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong track record in vendor management, including contracting and negotiations.
- Background in human clinical laboratory environments and/or managing biosample operations on clinical trials.
- Familiarity with FFPE tissues and histology laboratory operations.
- Experience with LIMS/sample management software and ability to use SQL for database queries.
