Financial Analyst

TL;DR

Financial Analyst (Finance): Support data-driven decision-making through accounting records, financial reporting, bank transactions, and process improvements with an accent on month-end closing, expense reconciliation, and cash flow monitoring. Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring financial data accuracy, and automating financial tools like ERP systems.

Fully onsite position based at the office in Lisbon, Portugal. Open to support with relocation efforts.

What you will do

• Support month-end closing activities and prepare recurring/ad-hoc financial reports.
• Handle accounting records, bank transactions, tax compliance, and reconciliations of expenses, AR/AP balances.
• Monitor cash flow, perform cost analysis, and collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and automation of financial processes and tools like ERP and expense systems.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data through reviews and reconciliations.

Requirements

• Approximately 1 year of experience in finance, analysis, accounting, or related area.
• Degree in Finance, Management, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Basic understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Ability to communicate financial info to non-financial stakeholders; proactive mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial systems or ERPs (Netsuite, Payhawk, Ramp).
