Senior Engineer (Fullstack/Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Engineer (Fullstack/Fintech): Building and supporting internal technology platforms and enterprise services for an investment technology domain with an accent on scalability, security, and AI-enabled software development. Focus on developing cloud-native AWS solutions, integrating AI frameworks, and optimizing DevSecOps pipelines to drive competitive advantage.

Location: Hybrid in Houston, Texas (must spend at least four full days each week in the office)

What you will do

• Implement the architectural and business functional vision for internal applications and enterprise services.
• Design and develop scalable processes and applications for the Investment Technology business domain.
• Build and optimize AWS cloud-based solutions utilizing cloud services according to best practices.
• Apply DevSecOps practices and mature CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.
• Integrate industry-leading AI capabilities (NLP, LangChain, Bedrock) to streamline software development.
• Mentor team engineers and promote a collaborative culture across global teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional fullstack software development experience.
• Deep expertise in object-oriented programming using Java.
• Proven hands-on experience building cloud-based software solutions on AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda).
• Experience with cloud-based database platforms like Snowflake, Postgres, Athena, or SQL Server.
• Advanced UI development experience using JS frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Houston, Texas office 4 days a week

Nice to have

• Experience with AI frameworks including NLP models, vectorization, LangChain, Amazon Bedrock, and OpenAI APIs.
• Proficiency with Powershell, Python, or Kubectl.
• Knowledge of orchestration and scheduling services such as Airflow, UAC, or Autosys.
