What you will do

• Administer firewalls including Checkpoint, Fortinet, and Palo Alto suites, implementing policies and performing regular rules clean-up.
• Optimize usage of firewall analyzer tools such as AlgoSec or FireMon to configure reports and daily housekeeping.
• Conduct regular architecture reviews and propose tooling improvements based on identified operational issues.
• Assess infrastructure and applications to ensure security models and principles are applied at application and network levels between DMZs.
• Support IT production teams on security best practices and participate in first-level on-call duty.
• Contribute to internal IT security projects and stay updated with new trends in the security domain.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in large networks and backbone environments.
• Strong hands-on experience and working knowledge of Checkpoint, Fortinet, and Palo Alto suites.
• Proficiency with Firewall Analyzer tools (AlgoSec or FireMon).
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN and network security principles.
• English proficiency: B2/C1 level (spoken and written).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Unix systems (e.g., Red Hat) and Windows.
• Experience with WAF (Web Application Firewall) and IDS/IPS.
• Scripting skills.
• Certifications in security technologies or ITIL Foundation.
• Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish.
