Senior Structural Analysis Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Structural Analysis Engineer (Aerospace): Structural analysis of spacecraft structures and development of internal tools for evaluation and post-processing of analysis and test results with an accent on finite element modeling, static/dynamic analyses, and test predictions. Focus on model condensation, bolted joints verification, test-model correlations, and collaboration with design and system engineers.

What you will do

• Create mathematical structural models using finite element method (FEM).
• Carry out static and dynamic analyses of satellites and subsystems.
• Perform model condensation using Craig-Bampton method and bolted joints verification.
• Define test plans, perform predictions, and conduct test-model correlations.
• Collaborate with mechanical design, thermal, and system engineers, plus suppliers and customers.
• Develop internal tools for analysis and test results evaluation, implement standards, and prepare documentation.
• Present results internally and to customers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical engineering or similar.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in static and dynamic analyses of spacecraft/launcher structures.
• Basic proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, autonomous, attentive to detail, and team player for multicultural environment.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Altair HyperWorks and MSC/Simcenter Nastran.
