What you will do

• Lead 2-4 cross-functional teams (15–35 people) consisting of Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Engineers.
• Partner with the AI lead product manager to ensure high standards of product quality and business value.
• Enable teams to deliver AI products in a timely manner by removing impediments and managing dependencies.
• Provide high-level architectural oversight to ensure system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive the AI tech roadmap, balancing innovation and customer value with engineering excellence.
• Mentor team leaders to build autonomous teams and manage staffing through active recruitment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Masters or PhD is a plus).
• 3–5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data, ML, or AI Engineer with a track record of building AI products.
• 5–7+ years of experience in a tech-leadership position managing AI, Data, and ML engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of the ML development lifecycle and optimization trade-offs.
• Experience working with cross-functional, autonomous teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills in facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
