What you will do

• Design and develop high-performance kernel drivers and user-space libraries for networking hardware.
• Optimize L2, L3, and L4 networking protocols specifically for AI/ML workloads.
• Implement fast packet processing pipelines using DPDK to bypass the kernel for maximum throughput.
• Perform deep-dive performance analysis and profiling to eliminate software stack bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to influence ASIC design and ensure hardware/software co-design principles.
• Create robust testing, validation, and debugging tools for the networking stack.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in low-level systems programming using C/C++.
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel driver development and internal architecture.
• Hands-on experience with DPDK or similar frameworks (e.g., VPP, XDP).
• Deep knowledge of L2, L3, and L4 networking fundamentals.
• Must be residing in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ethernet/Switch ASICs or network processor silicon (e.g., Broadcom, Marvell, NVIDIA, Intel).
• Familiarity with RoCE or other RDMA protocols.
• Experience developing software for NICs or SmartNICs.
• Understanding of AI/ML training workloads (e.g., NCCL, MPI).
