Mechanical Engineer (AUV/UUV): Mechanical engineering design in the undersea domain with an accent on SolidWorks MCAD and PTC Windchill PDM software. Location: Quincy, MA (onsite). Secret Clearance required.

$55.00 - $63.75 per hour (W2 hourly long-term contract to hire with limited benefits)

What you will do

• Design mechanical systems for autonomous/unmanned undersea vehicles (AUV/UUVs).
• Utilize SolidWorks MCAD and PTC Windchill PDM software for engineering tasks.
• Apply engineering principles in the undersea domain to develop solutions from conception to production.
• Assemble prototype systems and ensure compliance with design standards.

Requirements

• Secret Clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field + 5+ years experience (or Master's + 3 years)
• Proficiency with SolidWorks MCAD and PTC Windchill PDM Software
• Mechanical Engineering Design experience
• Engineering background in the Undersea Domain

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AUV/UUV technologies, principles, theories, and concepts
• Hands-on experience assembling prototype systems
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Creative thinking for innovative solutions
