Process Engineer (Internship)

TL;DR

Process Engineer (Internship) (SaaS Ops): Build, operate, and scale reliable cloud-based systems for healthcare SaaS platform with an accent on incident response, change management, and reliability practices. Focus on leading incident command, chaos engineering, post-mortems, and reducing operational toil through automation and process optimization.

Hybrid: 2 days a week in Toronto or Mississauga office required for eligibility. Must reside within commutable distance. On-call rotational shift required.

$35 - $45 an hour

What you will do

• Act as Incident Commander during SaaS availability events, troubleshooting scientifically and communicating with stakeholders.
• Lead blameless post-mortems to identify root causes and improvements.
• Facilitate change enablement to optimize engineering velocity and reduce production risks.
• Reduce operational toil by automating processes and minimizing dependencies.
• Lead Chaos Engineering to build incident preparedness in teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent (completed or final year)
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines (Azure, networking, Kubernetes, SQL)
• Experience with programming/scripting: Bash, Java, T-SQL, Terraform/Helm, Python, TypeScript
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (AppDynamics, Prometheus, ELK)
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and problem-solving
• Experience facilitating technical teams and communicating complex concepts

Nice to have

• Ability to use AI tools and prompt engineering
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, SRE, ITIL, platform engineering, or Scrum
• Skills in data visualization with BI tools
