Junior Software Developer (Web/Mobile)

TL;DR

Junior Software Developer (Web/Mobile): Design, implement and test software components for desktop and mobile web applications using Node.js, Vue.js, Python, HTML, CSS and SQL with an accent on agile methodologies and customer-facing development. Focus on breaking down epics into tasks, mentoring junior developers, overseeing releases and providing 3rd line support.

Location: Hybrid basis in Hildesheim, Germany office. Must be based in Hildesheim office.

What you will do

• Design and develop desktop and mobile web applications using Node.js, JavaScript, Vue.js, Python, HTML, CSS and SQL-Server.
• Break down major epics into stories and tasks, guide junior developers and contractors.
• Work with customers to develop specifications for applications.
• Oversee design, implementation and testing according to product specifications and Nomad processes.
• Provide suggestions to improve products, processes and standards.
• Mentor the software development team and handle product/project software releases.

Requirements

• Fluent in both German and English, written and verbal.
• Master’s degree in computer science, informatics or equivalent.
• Experience in software engineering, agile methodologies, V-Modell.
• Knowledge of web technologies: Node.js, JavaScript, Python, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, REST, JSON, jQuery.
• Database design experience.
• Experience with open API/Swagger, continuous integration/delivery, version control.

Nice to have

• 2-3 years’ experience in web and mobile application development.
• Additional languages: C++, PHP.
• Knowledge of software security.
