What you will do

  • Provide technical and disciplinary guidance to the platform operations and support team, fostering engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure stable operations of Unix/Linux systems, refine Ansible-based provisioning, and manage Kubernetes clusters with Kafka.
  • Monitor and optimize databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra, including performance tuning and failover strategies.
  • Design on-call rotations for 24/7 coverage and lead critical incident mitigation with partners and customers.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Product Management, and leadership to align operations with business goals and initiate streamlining projects.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in guiding or coordinating technical teams.
  • Strong background in Unix/Linux administration, Ansible, Kubernetes, and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra).
  • Experience with Kafka and similar technologies highly beneficial.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving complex operational issues under pressure.
  • Effective communication of technical topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for staying current with open-source technologies and best practices.
