Location: Hybrid (At least 1 fixed on-site collaboration day per week in Utrecht, NL)
Salary: €4,931 - €7,043 gross monthly

What you will do
- Design and implement scalable backend architectures supporting AI-driven conversational workflows across banking domains.
- Integrate AI agents with internal services using secure APIs and event-driven patterns.
- Develop AI-powered services that provide customers with real-time financial insights and explanations.
- Improve agent-to-agent integrations to allow conversational solutions to collaborate securely.
- Ensure the performance, security, and observability of backend systems supporting customer-facing AI solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering within complex, production-grade environments.
- Proven experience integrating AI or LLM-based components, including context management and orchestration.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Java for enterprise-scale applications.
- Solid knowledge of distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with AI-agent architectures such as tool invocation and conversation state management.
- Must be based in or able to work from Utrecht, NL at least once a week.
