What you will do

• Design, implement, and own macOS Agent integrations to collect telemetry for system, network, and security monitoring.
• Leverage native macOS technologies and frameworks to build comprehensive observability features deeply integrated with the platform.
• Lead end-to-end feature development from ideation, research on Apple changes, to deployment across enterprise fleets.
• Solve challenges at the intersection of system programming, distributed telemetry, endpoint observability, and security.
• Investigate bottlenecks and develop optimized, resource-efficient software to maintain visibility without impacting battery or productivity.
• Influence product decisions, plan high-impact projects, and mentor engineers on macOS initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years building systems-level applications with strong OS internals, architecture, and runtime knowledge.
• Proven track record shipping macOS software at scale.
• Hands-on with native macOS APIs, system services like launchd, IPC, and privacy models (TCC).
• Proficiency in C/C++, Objective-C, and/or Swift, plus macOS build and packaging (notarization, pkg).
• Ability to own and deliver features in fast-paced environments.
• Experience using AI coding tools in workflows, with ability to validate and refine output.

Nice to have

• Experience with Golang (hirify.global Agent primary language).
• Cross-platform development, including Windows SDK.
• Work on agent-based observability or monitoring software for system/process/network telemetry.
• Interest in advancing AI in software engineering and AI-enabled products.
