Accountant

TL;DR

Accountant (Stock Compensation): Support end-to-end ASC 718 accounting for hirify.global's global equity programs with an accent on expense recognition, valuations, and financial reporting. Focus on executing SOX controls, supporting audits, and identifying automation opportunities for scalable processes.

Location: Hybrid work model in Penang, Malaysia (split time between on-site at assigned hirify.global site and off-site)

What you will do

• Handle ASC 718 accounting from grant to settlement for global equity programs
• Prepare expense calculations, valuations, performance assessments, and journal entries
• Support monthly/quarterly close activities and financial disclosures
• Execute SOX controls, reconciliations, and system integrations
• Collaborate with HR, Treasury, Legal, and Payroll on compliance and program changes
• Conduct variance analysis, forecasting, and process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• 3+ years accounting experience with stock compensation knowledge preferred
• Strong US GAAP understanding, particularly ASC 718
• Experience with monthly/quarterly close processes
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems

Nice to have

• Stock-based compensation accounting experience
• SOX controls and audit support experience
• SAP S/4HANA and equity platform knowledge
• CPA certification or in progress
• Process improvement and automation experience
