What you will do

• Develop instructor guides, maintenance technical manuals, and user handbooks using Microsoft Word.
• Write and edit proposal content, including compliance matrices, technical narratives, and staffing plans.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, and Business Development teams to align documentation with customer requirements.
• Instruct technicians on the theory, troubleshooting, and practical application of simulator maintenance.
• Manage project workflows and provide technical direction to other writers to ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to management and external customers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contract requirements.
• 6+ years of professional technical writing experience.
• Experience in general electronics maintenance or 3+ years in simulator maintenance.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with Maintenance Manual Development.
• Eligibility for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
• Ability to work in physical environments, including confined spaces around simulator equipment.

Nice to have

• Mechanical or electrical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of government proposal standards such as Shipley processes or FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Experience with proposal management tools like SharePoint, MS Teams, and AI software tools.
