Salary: $149,600 – $202,400 CAD

What you will do

• Implement and maintain security controls across AWS/Azure, focusing on EKS/AKS cluster security and EC2 hardening.
• Develop and tune rules for cloud-specific threats and build automated response workflows.
• Secure Kubernetes workloads, implement pod security standards, and integrate security scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate potential security incidents and serve as the initial incident responder.
• Provide architectural guidance for securing user environments and maintaining a strong security posture.
• Collaborate with the cloud security manager to plan and develop the security roadmap.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada (excluding Quebec).
• 3+ years of expertise in securing AWS environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or EKS, including automation and CI/CD.
• Proficiency with IaC technologies like Terraform, Puppet, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Ability to program in dynamic languages such as Python or Ruby.
• Strong Linux experience and a deep understanding of threat vectors and indicators of compromise.

Nice to have

• Security experience with Azure or GCP.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Security Specialist, OSCP, CKS, or CISSP.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and the ELK stack (Elastic/OpenSearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Familiarity with container security tools like Falco, OPA/Gatekeeper, and runtime protection.
