Email Security Analyst

What you will do

• Investigate and classify suspicious emails to identify phishing, malware, spam, and benign attempts using internal tooling.
• Extract and document IOCs like URLs, domains, file hashes, and sender info from email headers, bodies, and attachments.
• Research and monitor ongoing email threat campaigns, mapping TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Build and maintain threat intelligence datasets, detection patterns, and research documentation.
• Collaborate with senior researchers in threat reviews to enhance detection quality.
• Share discoveries, learn new techniques, and contribute to team growth.

Requirements

• Located in São Paulo, Brazil – position is onsite in the local office.
• 1-2 years experience in cybersecurity or related field.
• Understanding of common threats like domain spoofing and spear-phishing.
• Exceptional attention to detail and stamina for repetitive analytical tasks.
• Experience handling large datasets.
• Strong digital literacy; vocational IT training, technical diplomas, or certifications like CompTIA IT Fundamentals preferred (degree not required).
