TL;DR

Garment Technologist (Fashion): Creating technical specifications and managing the fit and technical process for garments from proto stage to delivery with an accent on quality control, critical path management, and supplier feedback. Focus on troubleshooting production issues, running fit sessions, and ensuring commercial viability of alternative fashion products.

Location: Hybrid model: 3 days per week at Brighton HQ (UK), 2 days flexible

What you will do

• Create technical specifications for garments at proto stage in partnership with design.
• Manage fit and technical process from sample handover to delivery, including fit sessions and feedback to suppliers.
• Liaise daily with overseas factories (e.g., China) and check sample quality.
• Track critical paths, highlight production issues, and maintain sample status logs.
• Support production manager on quality queries and execute fit/sizing projects.
• Suggest improvements to brand quality and fit.

Requirements

• Previous experience as Garment Technologist with full production lifecycle knowledge.
• Experience with critical paths, troubleshooting issues for commercial products.
• Skills in fit/sizing stages, providing feedback to teams and suppliers.
• Experience working with overseas factories and suppliers.
• Confident communicator for team updates and agile in independent/team work.
