What you will do

• Literature review of RTG and RHU technologies, focusing on European context and constraints on spacecraft design
• Understand mission objectives and flow-down to lander technical requirements
• Preliminary system design of RTG-powered surface lander, with detailed focus on power and thermal subsystems
• Preliminary sizing and definition of GNC/AOCS, structure, mechanisms, communications, and data handling subsystems
• Define system budgets including mass and power
• Preliminary accommodation and layout of subsystems, considering thermal, mechanical, and operational constraints

Requirements

• Currently in a Master-level degree in aerospace engineering with focus on space systems
• Fluency in both spoken and written business English
• Willing to relocate to Bremen during the thesis
• High motivation, proactive working approach, and strong sense of responsibility
