What you will do

• Lead product design activities within the Launch Vehicle Structures Department for operational and next-generation vehicles.
• Perform design, analysis, modification, and integration of aerospace structures.
• Execute ground and flight testing to validate structural performance.
• Coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide engineering mentorship and act as a design authority to drive technical excellence.

Requirements

• Must be based in or work onsite in Ottobrunn, Germany
• 10+ years of experience in hardware design and development.
• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or a similar technical field.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) and CAE tools (NASTRAN, Optistruct, Simcenter).
• Expertise in static, dynamic, modal, nonlinear, stability, and fatigue analyses.
• Fluent English proficiency

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of composite manufacturing processes like winding and hand layup.
• Experience with aerospace mechanisms and thermal subsystems.
• Knowledge of launch vehicle propulsion and avionics systems.
• Prior involvement in launch vehicle development programs.
