TL;DR
Head of Finance (Fintech): Own day-to-day financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for a fast-growing automotive payments platform with an accent on strategic planning, scalability, and compliance. Focus on leading the finance team, supporting fundraising and investor reporting, and partnering with CEO on growth initiatives.
Location: Hybrid in London or Sheffield (3 days a week in office), must have the right to work in the UK – no visa sponsorship

What you will do
- Own monthly management accounts, forecasts, year-end statutory accounts, and transactional finance
- Lead budgeting, reforecasting, financial planning, cash flow forecasting, and scenario modelling
- Manage cash flow, working capital, debt providers, lender covenants, audits, and due diligence
- Support fundraising, investor reporting, board packs, and financial models
- Oversee payroll across UK and international locations, tax planning, and R&D tax relief
- Partner with CEO on financial strategy, growth planning, pricing, and cost management
- Establish financial controls, ensure UK GAAP compliance, mitigate risks, and develop the finance team
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in senior hands-on finance role (e.g., Head of Finance, Financial Controller)
- Exposure to payments, financial services, or regulated industries
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, statutory reporting, and tax requirements
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow in growing business
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable at strategic and operational levels, confident communicator
