Staff DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

Staff DevOps Engineer: Design and implement tools, automation, and infrastructure supporting reliable, secure, scalable service delivery across environments with an accent on platform reliability, operational efficiency, scalability, and consistency. Focus on leading Kubernetes at scale, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and SRE practices including on-call rotation.

Location: Remote from Hungary or Sofia, Bulgaria

What you will do

• Lead design, implementation, and improvement of reliable, scalable, performant, secure production platforms and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build resilient infrastructure and deployment patterns.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting engineering standards and operational best practices.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation to support critical services and platform availability.
• Drive standardisation, automation, and documentation to reduce operational overhead and support knowledge sharing.
• Contribute across full lifecycle of platform and service delivery, from design to operation and optimisation.

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or software engineering
• Strong Kubernetes experience at scale, containers, and orchestration
• Hands-on with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
• Strong programming in object-oriented language, scripting, and automation
• Strong security principles across infrastructure, platforms, services
• Hands-on in major cloud (AWS, GCP, OCI), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), networking, Linux/Windows admin
• CI/CD, secure SDLC, SRE concepts (SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, toil reduction)
