TL;DR
Founding CTO (Healthcare/AI): Designing and building the technical foundation for a caregiving-first healthcare platform with an accent on AI-driven clinical signals, data infrastructure, and HIPAA compliance. Focus on leveraging LLMs for virtual rounding, building scalable ETL pipelines, and establishing the engineering organization from v0 to scale.

What you will do
- Design, architect, and build the technical foundation, data infrastructure, and intelligence layer for the platform.
- Implement technical strategies for AI-enabled clinical signals, early-risk detection, and proactive care workflows using LLMs.
- Develop healthcare-grade ETL pipelines to ingest data from QHIN and HIEs.
- Establish and maintain HIPAA compliance, secure data storage, and operational reliability.
- Recruit, mentor, and scale the engineering team and establish SDLC practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience building and shipping complex, high-impact products.
- Expertise in backend systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), and distributed architectures.
- Experience with clinical data structures (EHR, FHIR/HL7) and PHI handling.
- Proven experience building production features with LLMs (NLP, conversational AI).
- Deep understanding of secure system design and regulated industry compliance.
- Must be based in the USA.
Nice to have
- Experience building digital health, elder care, or care-enablement tools.
- Familiarity with LOINC/SNOMED codes.
- Experience with voice AI or ambient voice interfaces.
- Mobile development experience with React Native or Flutter.
- Previous experience as a founding engineer or technical co-founder.
