What you will do

• Review and critique model reasoning in quantum information, including error correction, cryptography, and algorithms.
• Provide clear corrections, alternative derivations, and counterexamples to teach the system high-quality physics research.
• Translate domain judgment into actionable research recommendations for model behavior, reasoning style, and tool usage.
• Create gold-standard demonstrations and reference solutions for training and fine-tuning.
• Coordinate an external Collaborators program of expert peers to align review standards with research goals.
• Drive the system to produce high-quality, publishable research and open-science artifacts.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Quantum Information, Theoretical CS, or a closely related field, plus postdoctoral-level research maturity.
• Demonstrated ability to perform research-grade reasoning in quantum information and rigorous scientific critique.
• Deep fluency in quantum algorithms, gate/annealing computers, quantum error correction, and quantum field theory.
• Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra, probability, optimization, group theory, and Hamiltonian dynamics.
• Scientific programming skills in Python and proficiency with Git and LaTeX.
• Working familiarity with modern ML training workflows and the operationalization of expert feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience at the intersection of quantum computing and machine learning.
• Familiarity with preference modeling, reward modeling, or building evaluation datasets for frontier models.
• Comfort with PyTorch, JAX, Qiskit, PennyLane, or Cirq.
• Publication record in high-impact physics journals.
