Global nonprofit organization with Canadian foundation and US 501(c)(3), developing an AI Physicist to accelerate theoretical physics research.

What you will do

  • Design and code the AI Physicist, including tools for hypotheses generation, peer review, simulations, data validation, and self-revision.
  • Write safe, testable code with automated unit tests and apply recent research findings.
  • Integrate state-of-the-art tools to enhance model capabilities and provide advanced physics insights.
  • Implement self-improvement features that pass automated checks before deployment.
  • Track metrics, suggest optimizations, and develop custom tech solutions for researchers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver effective tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with software architecture patterns and best practices.
  • Proven experience with web development and API integrations.
  • Excellent programming skills.
  • Proficiency in gen AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, AlphaCode, Claude).
  • Strong communication skills for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of theoretical physics or strong interest.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and infrastructure.
