Freelance Auditor Food (Food Safety)

Location: Antwerp, Belgium; regular visits to customer sites are required

What you will do

• Verify management systems in the food industry, independently or as part of an audit team.
• Examine and assess the implementation of food management systems for clients.
• Evaluate compliance with accreditation requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build and deepen collaboration with clients while delivering professional audit services.
• Contribute expertise to the development of hirify.global services.
• Conduct customer visits and remote audits using digital collaboration tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in food-industry processes or technology.
• At least five years of experience in food production and technology within the food industry.
• Professional experience in quality management and food safety.
• Qualification for third-party auditing in IFS Food, BRC Food, IFS Broker, Logistics, and/or BRC Packaging.
• Excellent spoken and written Dutch, English, and French are required.
• Analytical, proactive, assertive, and confident using remote audit technologies such as Skype and Microsoft Teams.

Nice to have

• Additional qualification in ISO 22000 and/or FSSC 22000.
