What you will do

• Implement and manage financial risk programs for the BFS entity, focusing on market, product, counterparty, margin, collateral, and liquidity risks.
• Provide independent monitoring of risk exposures and escalate breaches of approved limits.
• Review and validate risk models, valuation logic, and exposure metrics across derivatives products and trading strategies.
• Define and review margin methodologies, including initial margin, maintenance margin, liquidation thresholds, and collateral haircuts.
• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of adverse market conditions on the derivatives portfolio.
• Manage quarterly regulatory submissions under the MiFID license, including capital requirement calculations (ICAAP).

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial risk management, preferably in a Second Line of Defense (2LOD) capacity.
• Essential experience in derivatives/market risk within a trading firm or brokerage.
• Strong understanding of the MiFID regulatory framework and prudential expectations for investment firms.
• Knowledge of balance sheet components, capital, and liquidity implications of leveraged derivatives activity.
• Excellent English language skills (written and verbal).
• Must be based in or able to work from the Ljubljana office at least 3 days per week.

• Knowledge of the blockchain and virtual currency environment, including crypto market structure and perpetual swaps.
