What you will do

• Integrate and validate AI software stacks and MPC-based trajectory controllers on customer vehicle platforms.
• Maintain and enhance controllers to improve performance, stability, and reliability across different environments.
• Establish control and integration methods for ML-coupled systems to ensure scalability across operational domains.
• Test and optimise system behaviour in challenging driving scenarios, including highways and urban settings.
• Develop simulation and evaluation pipelines to guarantee real-world control quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and OEM partners to diagnose and resolve integration issues.

Requirements

• Strong theoretical knowledge of control theory, model-predictive control (MPC), state estimation, and numerical methods.
• Practical experience tuning control systems for physical systems in both simulation and real-world environments.
• Experience productionising real-time controllers and monitoring performance at scale.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the Leonberg, Germany office.

Nice to have

• Experience with control, dynamics, and modelling of road vehicles.
