Senior DevOps Engineer (FedRAMP)

TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure/FedRAMP): Improving build/release pipelines and managing Azure Government Cloud infrastructure for FedRAMP authorized security products with an accent on secure operations and compliant orchestration. Focus on architecting AKS clusters with Istio, ensuring Zero Trust models, and maintaining strict FedRAMP security controls.

What you will do

• Improve build/release pipelines and GitOps workflows within the FedRAMP boundary.
• Architect and operate Azure Government Cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Manage AKS clusters with Istio, secure networking, WAF, and Zero Trust models (PIM/RBAC).
• Maintain compliant CI/CD pipelines and documentation aligned with FedRAMP controls.
• Oversee observability systems including Open Telemetry, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams on POA&M work and annual assessments.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience.
• Prior experience working in FedRAMP Moderate or High environments.
• Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Proficiency with Terraform/Terragrunt, AKS, Helm, Istio, Argo CD, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of FedRAMP, NIST 80053, and federal security controls.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zero Trust architecture, PIM, and RBAC.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Familiarity with Kafka, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Azure API Management, Logic Apps, and Cosmos DB tuning.
