TL;DR

Senior Solutions Analyst (GovTech): Designing and implementing robust business and technical solutions for the VA Health Benefits Management System with an accent on requirements lifecycle, system integrations, and enterprise standards. Focus on translating complex business needs into actionable technical specifications and optimizing eligibility and claims workflows.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)

Salary: $115,000 - $120,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Lead the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, including discovery, analysis, and documentation.
  • Translate business needs into Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria using Jira.
  • Design end-to-end workflows for eligibility, claims, and appeals processes.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to align requirements with system design and API integration patterns.
  • Develop process diagrams and data flows to define as-is and to-be architectures.
  • Support UAT, validation, and defect triage.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the US.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or an additional 10 years of experience).
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business or Solution Analyst in enterprise environments.
  • Strong proficiency with Agile/SAFe methodology and Jira.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and flat files.
  • Knowledge of BPMN/UML workflow modeling.
  • Experience with Pega platform or other workflow tools.
  • Prior experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) programs.
