TL;DR

Application Specialist (Chemical Engineering): Developing and supporting Total Chemistry Management Solutions for the Packaging & Hygiene Solutions team with an accent on product implementation and consultative services. Focus on driving value creation in services, coordinating strategic growth across the North region, and providing technical expertise in paper process chemistry.

Location: Remote (Must be located in Northern US)

What you will do

  • Implement and support the strategy for total chemistry management solutions in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Develop new service verticals to drive value creation for customers.
  • Coordinate between New Ventures, Strategic Growth, and Sales teams across the North commercial region.
  • Provide technical consultations as the primary contact for local sales teams.
  • Perform external marketing and monthly reporting on all field-based activities.
  • Manage opportunities and data using internal tools like Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with expert status in the area of specialization.
  • Expert-level understanding of papermaking processes and finished grade knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of paper process chemistry, specifically retention/drainage chemistries.
  • Ability to perform statistical data analysis to evaluate program performance.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
