Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js, Golang, E-commerce)

Location: Lisbon or Barcelona, hybrid

Native Commerce delivers mission-critical software for modern e-commerce brands-spanning website/web app frontends, warehouse management (WMS), order management (OMS), logistics, and real-time BI-all unified in a modular, composable platform. Our goal: help e-commerce businesses run smoother, reduce costs, and boost revenue.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js Engineer, Golang engineer)

Our ideal candidate:

• A developer with a broad technical background and truly versatile experience.
• A senior-level engineer: strong in architecture, ownership, independence, initiative, maturity, and engineering discipline, with a focus on quality.
• Someone who sees the system end-to-end, not just their own isolated component.
• Experience in e-commerce, high-load systems, marketplaces, or transactional platforms - a major advantage.
• Confident using AI-assisted tools such as Copilot, Claude-Code, Cursor, automated tests, and LLM-based workflows.

Required Experience

• 6+ years in Backend development with Node.js or Golang
• Proven experience building API-first, cloud-native systems
• Solid understanding of e-commerce infrastructure: carts, checkout, OMS/WMS, Delivery
• Familiarity with AI development tools and pipelines (Copilot, Claude-Code, Cursor)
