Global Media Technician (Quality Control)

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, California; listed in Universal City, California

What you will do

• Perform quality control assessments of broadcast and post-production assets against industry standards.
• Identify and document technical issues in video, audio, and closed-captioning content.
• Manage QuickTime, MXF, and MPEG media files and coordinate deliveries through Signiant and Aspera.
• Operate Vantage transcoding systems to prepare files for distribution.
• Collaborate with internal departments, clients, and vendors to support project execution.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in broadcast operations or post-production, including at least 1 year in quality control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must be based in or willing to work on-site in Los Angeles, California.
• Ability to multitask, make effective decisions under pressure, and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first approach.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MacCaption and digital media file types.
• Interest in emerging post-production technologies and willingness to mentor others.
