What you will do

• Take overall ownership of production environments, ensuring stability and reliability.
• Focus on production code quality, providing critical feedback during the operational lifecycle.
• Manage deployments, ensuring smooth and safe rollouts and rollbacks.
• Operate and troubleshoot Kong API Gateway, including routing, services, plugins, and TLS/cert management.
• Work with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, or Kuma, troubleshooting related issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and lead/assist in incident response.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Software Development and/or Linux Systems Administration.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• Hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway or similar enterprise API gateway technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd or Kuma.
• Strong understanding of traffic management concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
