TL;DR

Software Engineer (Space Domain Awareness): Design, develop, and enhance complex real-time systems handling massive data sets with an accent on RF signal processing, geospatial analytics, and SDR technologies. Focus on building analytics tools, ensuring interoperability across platforms, and driving system design decisions for precise geolocation and object tracking.

Onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.

What you will do

• Innovate with SDR technologies to ingest and analyze RF data for detecting, characterizing, and tracking space objects.
• Develop novel algorithms, analytics, visualization, and discovery tools for precise geolocation.
• Integrate new and legacy software across diverse hardware platforms for performance and interoperability.
• Analyze requirements, debug software, design and code new features, and integrate into systems.
• Provide input on system design, hardware/software trade-offs, and COTS/GOTS solutions.
• Create simple data queries for databases and repositories.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience (or 4+ years with similar processes substituting for Bachelor’s degree).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Proficiency in Linux development environments.
• Basic understanding of software development with exposure to C/C++, Python.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, IDEs (VSCode, Eclipse), and Agile (Scrum).

Nice to have

• Experience with geospatial data processing and analytics.
• Coding 2D and 3D image displays.
• Familiarity with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools.
