Senior Data Scientist

TL;DR

Senior Data Scientist (ML): Leverage expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling to solve complex business problems and drive data-driven decisions with an accent on feature engineering, model development, and production deployment. Focus on building predictive models, evaluating impact via A/B testing, and presenting insights to stakeholders.

Location: Work From Home 100% of the time, or come in to one of our global offices (Peru/Piura mentioned). Up to you.

What you will do

• Understand business needs, translate them into technical projects, and identify data sources for aggregations and feature engineering.
• Write Python code for visualizations, model building, and implementation.
• Develop, validate, and deploy advanced machine learning models for predicting outcomes and informing decisions.
• Build production-ready predictive models including real-time scoring and model-driven workflows.
• Assess model impact using A/B testing and experiments to optimize business results.
• Present results to non-technical stakeholders to drive adoption of predictive models.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of data science experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• In-depth knowledge of statistics and ML algorithms (K-Means, Linear Regression, GLM, Random Forest, GBM, XGBoost, segmentation).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional projects.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
