TL;DR

Scanning Associate (Finance Operations): Analyze and scan documents and physical checks for client review with an accent on reconciliation, regulatory compliance, and workflow efficiency. Focus on liaising with internal teams and clients, developing tactical solutions, and providing customer support on transaction issues.

Location: On-site 5 days a week in Edgewood, NY

Salary: $19/hr - $21/hr

What you will do

• Analyze and scan documents and physical checks using various criteria for client review.
• Communicate with internal teams and external clients, liaise with outsourcing personnel for efficient check processing.
• Reconcile checks received, scanned, returned, and destroyed; process scanning per firm guidelines.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and develop understanding of workflow to rotate responsibilities.
• Develop tactical solutions for efficiency, liaise with managers on strategic improvements.
• Apply check handling policies, provide customer support, and work on special projects.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of work experience in a corporate environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Excellent organizational skills, proactive, enthusiastic, team-oriented
• Ability to remain composed under pressure, prioritize in fast-paced environment
• Accuracy, attention to detail, strong client service orientation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, adaptability
