What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate scalable OpenStack networking platforms focused on Neutron and OVN/OVS.
• Own architecture and operation of virtual networking services including L2/L3, DHCP, metadata, NAT, and security groups.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues across OpenStack and Linux stack, performing root cause analysis.
• Drive automation, provisioning, monitoring, and recovery using infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Integrate with compute, storage, and platform teams for seamless OpenStack ecosystem operation.
• Lead performance tuning, scalability planning, and upstream community contributions for Neutron projects.

Requirements

• Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with large-scale OpenStack deployment, operation, and upgrades.
• Specialist knowledge of Neutron including ML2, OVN, Open vSwitch, routing, DHCP, VLAN/VXLAN/Geneve, security groups.
• Strong Linux networking concepts: routing, bridging, namespaces, iptables/nftables, tcpdump, iproute2.
• Experience with Ansible for cloud infrastructure automation.
• Strong Python and Bash skills; experience in highly available production environments.

Nice to have

• Contributions to upstream OpenStack, Neutron, OVN communities.
• Experience with BGP, EVPN, load balancing in OpenStack.
• High-performance infrastructure or service provider environments.
