What you will do
- Develop insights into AI usage in high-risk situations like self-harm, suicidal ideation, substance escalation, and violence threats, identifying patterns and trends.
- Synthesize behavioral, psychological, and intelligence signals into narratives on user needs, system dynamics, and risks.
- Produce decision-ready briefs, assessments, frameworks, taxonomies, and indicators for product, safety, and policy guidance.
- Identify early indicators of issues, prioritize mitigations, and assess their effectiveness using behavioral evidence.
- Contribute behavioral perspective to incident reviews, root cause analysis, and prevention.
- Bridge research and operations by translating clinical literature into practical safeguards and decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years in forensic, clinical, trust & safety, or applied academic settings assessing risks of violence, self-harm, or addiction, with strong mixed-methods research skills.
- Familiarity with AI systems, language models, or human-AI interactions; interest in AI safety and trust & safety a plus.
- Ability to translate human behavior into structured intelligence, connecting cases to system-level patterns.
- Experience with qualitative/quantitative inputs, casework, data, literature, and metrics.
- Experience designing risk frameworks, taxonomies, or evaluation methods.
- Clear communication of complex insights into actionable recommendations; thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
