Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Analyst: Provide expert technical and analytical support for CWMD and biodefense policy and strategy across the Department of the Air Force with an accent on non-proliferation, targeting, interdiction, strike operations, and CBRN defense. Focus on conducting operational evaluations, assessing threat agents and impacts on Air Force missions, and integrating CWMD into wargames, exercises, and acquisition programs.
Location: Full-time onsite within the National Capital Region, including the Pentagon and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC.

What you will do
- Provide subject matter expertise on CWMD operations including non-proliferation, targeting, interdiction, strike operations, ATSO, and CBRN defense.
- Develop, manage, and implement DAF’s CWMD strategy, CONOPs, and CONPLANs.
- Conduct technical research and evaluations of scientific testing results and CBRN impacts on Air Force personnel and missions.
- Assess threat agents, delivery mechanisms, and effects on airbase environments, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Monitor CBRN hazard advancements and update risk models and tools.
- Review acquisition programs and integrate CWMD into wargames, exercises, and training.
- Collaborate with DoD organizations on CWMD research, testing, and education.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific, technical, management, or related field such as international relations or national security studies.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant CWMD experience.
- Experience in scientific analysis of CBRN weapons, properties, hazards, and effects on military systems and personnel.
- Experience in operational analysis of CBRN impacts on Air Force missions, especially aircraft generation and air mobility.
- Experience supporting senior-level staff organizations like Service Headquarters, Joint Staff, or OSD.
- Strong understanding of Air Force core missions and integration with MAJCOMs and combatant commands.
- Demonstrated project management with stakeholders and minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; team collaboration.
- Experience developing executive briefings and drafting papers.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
